VIBE Child Safety Standards

Last updated: August 29, 2026

VIBE is a location-based app where people ask questions about places and get answers from users nearby. It includes private chat, photo sharing, and voice/video calls between users. These standards describe how VIBE prohibits, detects, and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Zero tolerance. Child sexual abuse and exploitation is absolutely prohibited on VIBE. Accounts involved in it are removed permanently, and material is reported to the appropriate authorities.

1. What is prohibited

The following are banned everywhere on VIBE — in questions, answers, chat messages, uploaded photos, profile pictures, display names, and voice or video calls:

2. Minimum age

VIBE is an adults-only service: users must be at least 18 years old, as stated in our Terms of Service. Age is collected at sign-up and accounts below the minimum age are refused registration and removed if discovered later. We set the minimum at 18 rather than 13 because India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 treats anyone under 18 as a child, and VIBE's core feature is continuous location matching — which the Act restricts for children.

3. How users report CSAE

Reporting is built into the app and requires no email or external form:

Reports involving a minor are treated as the highest priority regardless of the category chosen.

CSAE can also be reported directly to amangiri12011996@gmail.com at any time, including by people who do not use VIBE.

4. How VIBE responds

5. Reporting to authorities

VIBE operates in India. Apparent CSAM and CSAE is reported to the relevant authorities, which may include the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and local law enforcement, in line with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement investigating offences against children.

6. Designated contact

The point of contact for child safety and CSAE compliance, including enquiries from Google, regulators, and law enforcement, is:

amangiri12011996@gmail.com

7. Compliance with Google Play

These standards are published to meet Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy for apps in the social and dating categories. They are reviewed as VIBE's features change.
